Stephen has sent a message which is going up on the site today, also some new messages from friends. Campaign funds have been raised by many wonderful people and have been directly applied to costs which will eventually ensure that the truth is heard.
People have contributed from their wages and savings, got up ay 5.30am to run car boot sales and sold things that are precious to them to raise funds, what an amazing group of people.
The appeal will now not be heard until the New Year but the progress is steady and things are looking more positive so stay patient and we will get there in the end.

Stephen's defence team continues to prepare for the appeal and their commitment, professionalism and straightforward approach is very much appreciated. We seem to have had nearly a 1000 visits to the website in 6 months, a significant increase on previous traffic. This seems like a good time to thank the Wales on Sunday for their responsible approach to reporting which has really helped the campaign. Stephen is still waiting for a date for the appeal hearing and we hope to hear when this will be soon. Some supporters are working on fund raising ideas for the 'fighting fund' and that is much appreciated too.

Please wear some vivid pink to show your support for Steve! If you are going to attend the appeal court to support Steve, please wear an item of vivid pink (or any shade of pink if you don't have anything vivid). A tie, scarf, T.shirt, etc. This will enable us to show support for Stephen while also showing respect for the court. This is why we have chosen a colour rather than printed T. Shirts
Please let the people who will be coming who don't have access to the website know. No date for the appeal hearing yet - likely to be Sep/Oct 2008.

It has been a very long road so far and there is much distance left to travel, but we have moved forward. If you know anything, now is the time to come forward.

The legal issues still move along slowly but surely. Stephen has come to terms with the inevitable time issues and seems to have more patience than his supporters as we often find it very difficult indeed. The mills of justice grind very slowly but we will keep hoping that they will reach the truth in the end.

We will be arranging for Stephen's supporters to get together again in December 2007 or January 2008, everyone is welcome. If you came to the last meeting or have left a message on the site we will contact you. Please let us know through this website if you want to come too.
Some of Stephen's supporters are visiting him this week and as one is going with a leg in plaster it will be an uncomfortable journey but worth it. Stephen is well and keeps himself as busy as he can in the circumstances. He is writing a Christmas message for this website which will be posted soon.

This may help anyone who is thinking back to the weekend that our lovely Jaz was murdered by Rebecca Harris. Saturday 29 July 2006 was the last Saturday before the new football season started, an important Saturday for Swans supporters and so may be a useful memory prompt - please look at the 'Did you see this dog' page to see if you can remember anything that might help Stephen prove his innocence. Stephen and Jaz were both Swans season ticket holders.
16 Nov 2007
At 11 November 2007 the website has received 259 hits, this shows that the leaflets are working, people are looking at the website and the photographs, we will keep spreading the word until the person or people with that vital piece of information realise what they have and come forward.
The people who know that Stephen is innocent have covered miles and miles in Swansea over the last few weeks distributing leaflets asking if anyone saw Jaz with the dog Bwbach on the Saturday morning (please see the 'did you see this dog?' page for photographs). The people who have worked so tirelessly in all weathers are aged from 21 to 70 plus; one has a leg in plaster. They have visited, shops, garages, clubs, pubs, bakeries, offices, taxi ranks, to name just a few. They have stood outside workplaces at 5.00am in the morning. Without fail they have have been met with courtesy, sympathy and a willingness to listen from the people of Swansea. Wherever possible they have been given help with displaying and making the leaflets available
This group of people are not political activists in any way, they describe themselves as a very ordinary group of people who have found themselves in circumstances where they feel that they must speak and act to right a miscarriage of justice. I would like to disagree with their description of themselves, they are actually an extraordinary group of people.

This is a quote that seems apt for Stephen's supporters.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
Margaret Mead Anthropologist (1901 - 1978)
2 more of our brilliant teams of supporters were out on Saturday 03 November with the 'have you seen this dog?' leaflets. They were in Gorseinon and spoke to individuals, stood outside workplaces and went into shops, cafes, etc. Everywhere they went they were met by people who wanted to know more, people who are willing to listen and willing to help and importantly are now talking to others about what they might have seen that doesn't tie in with the version of events that saw Stephen wrongly convicted. This is what they told Steve about it:
Also some of the shops we went to I suspect knew you! as they referred to you as Steve in a tone of endearment. We didn't pry we just smiled.
The website has been live for 24 hours and we have already had 81 hits, this means that more people have seen the photo of Bwbach the dog and we will keep working until we get to anyone who may have seen Jaz out with the dog at 5.00am or thereabouts on Saturday 29 July 2006 or may have other information that can help Stephen to prove his innocence.
The first leaflet team hit the steets, pubs and taxi offices of Swansea today Friday 02 November 2007.
They were met with a great response, pub landlords in particular were really helpful and have agreed to put leaflets up and take some to keep on the bar and give to customers. This is a really encouraging beginning and shows us that Steve has even more supporters and that the people of Swansea want to know the truth.
The first team out have done a great job and we are really proud of them, Stephen can't believe all that people are doing for him and he is really thankful. We will get more and more leaflets out there now and keep hoping that we reach those people who may have seen Jaz and the dog out togther on that saturday morning.
Good luck to everyone who is ready to go with their team, we'll give you updates on how they get on as soon as we have them so check back here for the latest news.
It's not illegal to distibute leaflets of course but even so all distributors went armed with the name and number of a solicitor who knew what was going on so that they had support if they needed it at any point.
