Research consistently shows that an interview is a very poor way of selecting people for a job. the research shows that people very often make up their minds very quickly, literally within the first few minutes of meeting that person and then spend the rest of the interview time seeking support for their original impressions.

On day one of the trial, the video was shown which showed Stephen and Harris involved in an S&M sex session where the knife that was months later used by Harris to kill Jaz was used.   Bearing the above well documented research re interviews in mind, what do you think the result of that video being shown was?  You don't need me to spell it out.

Let's not shy away from the fact that this video was very, very shocking.  The questions that need to be asked though are:

Was it illegal?   

Obviously not or Stephen and Harris would have been charged

Was it between consenting adults?  

Yes

Was it evidence of murder or of planning a murder?

No
